MOM Trailer Review By Farishtey Faroodi | Sridevi, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Akshaye Khanna

Bollywood diva Sridevi, who had made a comeback to Bollywood five years back with Gauri Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’, will be next seen in Ravi Udyawar’s ‘Mom’ and the trailer of the film, which also stars Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Akshaye Khanna, was released today.

From what we could see in the trailer, the film revolves around Devki (Sridevi) and her loving family comprising her husband and a young daughter. After giving a glimpse of their idyllic family life, the trailer takes a dark turn as Sridevi’s character is seen trying to find out something about her daughter with the help of DK (Nawazuddin), while trying to stay a step ahead of a suspicious cop (Akshaye Khanna). What really arrested our attention was the last dialogue where Sajal Ali, who plays Sridevi's daughter, asks her why she didn’t tell everyone that she is not her daughter. Going by the trailer, ‘Mom’ comes across as a nail-biting thriller and considering the fact that it has three versatile performers, the film is bound to be a treat for cinephiles.

Presented by Zee Studios, produced by Boney Kapoor, Sunil Manchanda, Naresh Agarwal, Mukesh Talreja, Gautam Jain, music by maestro A R Rahman and directed by Ravi Udyawar, Mom is scheduled torelease worldwide on 7th July, 2017.
