Actress Sridevi, who made her comeback to Bollywood with Gaur Shinde’s ‘English Vinglish’, will be next seen in a thriller titled ‘Mom’ and the teaser of the film was unveiled yesterday.

Though we could not make out much about the plot from what was seen in the teaser, the film, which also stars Akshaye Khanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, seems to be about a woman panicking for the safety of her daughter. Nawaz is seen in a very different look this time around with long and thinning hair and it was quite pleasant to see Akshaye Khanna after a long time (though he had a short role in Dishoom). Sridevi dominates the film with her sheer screen presence and it would be a delight to watch the ‘Hawa Hawai’ girl in a thriller.

Written by Girish Kohli, directed by Ravi Udyawar with music composed by AR Rahman, ‘Mom’ is slated to hit silver screens on July 14 this year.
