Toilet Ek Prem Katha Trailer Review By Farishtey Faroodi | Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar

Ever since Akshay Kumar announced the name of his upcoming film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, cine lovers have been really curious about it thanks to the unique title and now, the makers have released the trailer of the movie.

The film tells the story of Keshav, whose only aim in life is to get married however, he has a 'dosh' in his kundli and hence is married to a buffalo. Though married, he is still single.

Keshav then falls in love with Jaya and they soon get married. However, Jaya leaves his house when she realizes that she has to defecate in open, as her husband’s house doesn't have a toilet. In a bid to win his lady love back, Keshav decides to fight the society and get toilets installed in his village. Will he be able to fight the patriarchs of his village? Well, we can't wait to find that out.

The film is a satire on the lack of toilets in rural India. It highlights how women have no privacy due to lack of lavatories in villages. Akshay and Bhumi Pednekar’s pair is fresh and they look convincing as a married couple. The film’s dialogues pack a solid punch and will certainly make the audiences think.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is slated to release on August 11.
