Christie’s International Head of Retail for Watches, Reginald Brack, gives an in-depth look at this New old stock Rolex, Explorer, Ref. 114270 from circa 2006 with Rolex Presentation Box, Outer Box, Product Literature, Your Rolex Oyster Brochure, Guarantee Booklet, Hang Tags, Green Rolex Wallet, International Guarantee Card & Rolex Pocket Size Calendar. In 2001 the reference 114270 replaced the 14270. The end links on the 114270 are solid whereas the the 14270 are hollow. Over the years there have been upgrades to the Explorer; in 2010 Rolex decided to change the case diameter from 36mm to 39mm making this reference 114270 the last of the 36mm cases.
