Christie’s International Head of Retail for Watches, Reginald Brack, gives an in-depth look at this Rolex "Big Red" Daytona, Ref. 6263, from circa 1978 with Rolex Presentation Box, Outer Box, Product Literature, Your Rolex Oyster Brochure Official Chronometer Certification Brochure, Green Rolex Wallet, Original Warranty and one extra Oyster Stainless Steel Link. The Daytona reference 6263 debuted in the beginning of the 1970's and ran until about 1987. The most distinguishing characteristics on a reference 6263 are the screw down pushers and black bezel. The present example has model 571 end links, 78350 bracelet and VD stamped on the clasp. VD corresponds to 1979.
