Christie’s International Head of Retail for Watches, Reginald Brack, gives an in-depth look at this Rolex Oyster Perpetual Zephyr, Ref. 1008, from circa 1968, with Rolex Presentation Box, Outer Box, Cigarette Card, Official Chronometer Certificate, Original Guarantee, Original Price Hang Tag and Green Rolex wallet. In 1962 Rolex introduced the reference 1008. It was created first for the American market and than launched for the Italian market. This example has model 61 end links, 7205 bracelet and the clasp is stamped '67. The rivet bracelet on this model is very interesting not only does it have the gold center link, but the sides are also gold.
