FULL MANTRA
----

Ŧirath ṯap ḏaiā ḏaṯ ḏān.
Pilgrimages, austere discipline, compassion and charity -

Je ko pāvai ṯil kā mān.
these, by themselves, bring only an iota of merit.

Suṇiā maniā man kīṯā bẖāo.
Listening and believing with love and humility in your mind,

Anṯargaṯ ṯirath mal nāo.
cleanse yourself with the Name, at the sacred shrine deep within.

Sabẖ guṇ ṯere mai nāhī koe.
All virtues are Yours, Lord, I have none at all.

viṇ guṇ kīṯe bẖagaṯ na ho▫e.
Without virtue, there is no devotional worship.

Su▫asaṯ āth baṇī barmāo.
I bow to the Lord of the World, to His Word, to Brahma the Creator.

Saṯ suhāṇ saḏā man cẖāo.
He is Beautiful, True and Eternally Joyful.

Kavaṇ so velā vakẖaṯ kavaṇ kavaṇ thiṯ kavaṇ vār.
What was that time, and what was that moment? What was that day, and what was that date?

Kavaṇ sė ruṯī māhu kavaṇ jiṯ hoā ākār.
What was that season, and what was that month, when the Universe was created?

vel na pāīā pandṯī jė hovai lekẖ purāṇ.
The Pandits, the religious scholars, cannot find that time, even if it is written in the Puraanas.

vakẖaṯ na pāio kāḏīā jė likẖan lekẖ kurāṇ.
That time is not known to the Qazis, who study the Koran.

Thiṯ vār nā jogī jāṇai ruṯ māhu nā koī.
The day and the date are not known to the Yogis, nor is the month or the season.

Jā karṯā sirṯẖī kao sāje āpe jāṇai soī.
The Creator who created this creation-only He Himself knows.

Kiv kar ākẖā kiv sālāhī kio varnī kiv jāṇā.
How can we speak of Him? How can we praise Him? How can we describe Him? How can we know Him?

Nānak ākẖaṇ sabẖ ko ākẖai ik ḏū ik siāṇā.
O Nanak, everyone speaks of Him, each one wiser than the rest.

vadā sāhib vadī nā▫ī kīṯā jā kā hovai.
Great is the Master, Great is His Name. Whatever happens is according to His Will.

Nānak je ko āpou jāṇai agai gaiā na sohai.
O Nanak, one who claims to know everything shall not be decorated in the world hereafter.

UNDERSTANDING THE MANTRA
---
Status, here is not worldly position, standing in a profession or in society – Power & Pelf ; rather it symbolizes our role in this world, our job, our work and our duties (also called Dharma). Each one of us in this world is important and has a role to play. William Shakespeare also said, “ All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players.”

It is with this understanding of ‘Status’ that this Mantra helps us to work in our positions more satisfactorily and with greater commitment. If all the people in world work hard and with commitment and contentment in their professions, there’ll be more peace in the world outside and inside us.

We must understand with humility that Nature in all its Graciousness has bestowed all the virtues on us -“Sabh Gun Tere Mein Nahi Koi”. So, we must always be Happy, Humble and full of Gratitude in our role and position in society and in family.
Let’s chant this Mantra with a smile in our hearts & on our face
