बीते तीन दिनों से यमुना के रौद्र रूप में दिल्ली में कोहराम मचा रखा है। यमुना की बाढ़ ने बीते 100 वर्षों का रिकॉर्ड तोड़ दिया है। दिल्ली की जनता ने यमुना को इतने ग़ुस्से में पहले कभी नहीं देखा। आलम ये है कि पहले लाल क़िले तक पानी पहुंचा, फिर देखते ही देखते राष्ट्रपिता महात्मा गांधी की समाधि राजघाट भी जलमग्न हो गई। दिल्ली के सबसे सुरक्षित इलाकों में शुमार सुप्रीम कोर्ट के दरवाज़े तक बाढ़ का पानी पहुंच गया। सुप्रीम कोर्ट से इंडिया गेट ज़्यादा दूर नहीं है। यानी अगर यमुना का पानी और बढ़ा तो इंडिया गेट भी बाढ़ के चपेट में आ सकता है। ये आशंका सच भी हो सकती है क्योंकि हथिनीकुंड बैराज से फिर लाखों क्यूसेक पानी छोड़ा गया है।
