पहाड़ों पर तबाही मचाने के बाद पानी जब यमुना नदी के रास्ते दिल्ली पहुंचा तो तबाही का अलग ही चेहरा दिखाई दिया। तबाही और बर्बादी के तमाम रिकॉर्ड तोड़ती हुई यमुना ख़तरे के निशान से 4 मीटर ऊपर पहुंच गई। नतीजा ये हुआ कि दिल्ली सरकार के सचिवालय से लेकर मुख्यमंत्री केजरीवाल के सरकारी आवास तक यमुना की दहशत पहुंच गई। सिविल लाइंस हो या यमुना बाज़ार... हर तरफ़ पानी ही पानी दिखा। लाल क़िले की दीवार भी यमुना का रौद्र रूप देखकर डर गई। दिल्ली की बाढ़ के आगे सारी तैयारी फेल हो गई हैं। अब सबकी नजर यमुना पर टिकी है क्योंकि जलस्तर घटेगा तभी दिल्ली बचेगी।
