Horlicks Oats Pongal is a quick and easy to make wholesome flavorful dish. This serves as a heavy breakfast or a filling dinner on a busy day. If you are looking to cut down rice from your diet then the recipe of Horlicks Oats Pongal will be a hit.
Ingredients:
Horlicks Oats 2 cup
Moong Dal 1 cup
Cumin Seeds 1 tea spoon
Hing pinch
Pepper corn 1 tea spoon
Cashew Nuts (Chopped) 5 number
Curry leaves 2 springs
Salt to taste
Method:
Boil water in a pan, add moong dal and let it cook for about 4 minutes.
Now add Horlicks oats t the same pan, give it a mix, season it with salt and cook well by stirring occasionally for another 1-2 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan for tempering, add cashew nuts, cumin seeds, peppercorns, sauté, season it with hing, curry leaves, transfer it to the above pan and stir it.
Horlicks oats Pongal is now ready to serve.
