Gluten Free veg Kabobs Recipe ( Tasty Indian Appetizers)

Who doesn't love a good appetizer? I surely so and here is an excellent recipe that you can try to. These Gluten free Kabobs are made using Chana dal ( Split yellow chickpea lentil paste, assorted veggies and flavourful Indian spices..) How can they not be super yum?

Ingredients/ Method
1 Cup Chana Dal ( Split yellow chickpea lentil)
3-4 Grated carrots
1/2 bell peppers chopped ( I used orange but feel free too add green and red ones)
1 small chopped onion
1 cup chopped spinach
3-4 boiled/mashed potatoes
2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3 tsp salt
2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp mango powder/ Amchur
2 tsp red chilli pwd
optional- 1-2 tsp black pepper pwd
1/2 cup chickpea flour ( besan)
Oil for cooking ( These Kabobs can be deep fried or pan-fried)
- Begin by soaking lentils in water for atleast an hour. Then grind them to form a smooth paste using 2-3 tbsp water.
- In lentils, add all your veggies, spices an chick pea flour and mix well.
- Once the mixture is ready, shallow fry them on a pan in small portions until golden brown on both sides or for quick cooking results, deep fry them in a pot or deep fryer.
- Drain the excess oil by placing these kebabs on a paper towel.
- Serve with chutney of your choice.
