संसद ने आज ध्वनि मत से ओम बिरला को दूसरी बार स्पीकर चुन लिया। इसके बाद प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ओम बिरला के पास गये, और उन्हें बधाई दी..तो सामने की बेंच से नवनिर्वाचित नेता प्रतिपक्ष राहुल गांधी भी ओम बिरला के पास पहुंचे. प्रधानमंत्री ने बड़े सम्मान से नेता प्रतिपक्ष को जगह दी। इसके बाद राहुल गांधी ने स्पीकर को बधाई दी। जैसे ही स्पीकर ने 1975 की इमरजेंसी पर सदन की ओर से एक निंदा प्रस्ताव पढ़ा..तो इमरजेंसी की याद ने INDI अलायंस की एकता को जैसे चीर दिया।

The Prime Minister gave place to the Leader of the Opposition with great respect. After this Rahul Gandhi congratulated the speaker. As soon as the Speaker read out a condemnation motion from the House on the Emergency of 1975, the memory of the Emergency tore the unity of the INDI Alliance.
