नारी शक्ति वंदन अधिनियम यानी महिला आरक्षण बिल पर आज लोकसभा में लंबी चर्चा चली। कांग्रेस नेता सोनिया गांधी इस बिल को अपने जीवनसाथी राजीव गांधी का सपना बताया, तो BJP के निशिकांत दुबे ने कांग्रेस पर बिल में देरी का आरोप लगाया। सदन में चर्चा के दौरान महिला आरक्षण बिल में OBC और SC-ST तबके की महिलाओं के लिए अलग कोटे की भी मांग उठी। राहुल गांधी ने इस बिल को अधूरा बताया और मोदी सरकार को OBC के मुद्दे पर घेरने की कोशिश की। जवाब में गृह मंत्री अमित शाह ने कांग्रेस पर जमकर प्रहार किया और कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के लिए महिला आरक्षण बिल राजनीति का नहीं बल्कि मान्यता का मुद्दा है।

There was a long discussion in the Lok Sabha today on the Nari Shakti Vandan Act i.e. the Women's Reservation Bill. Congress leader Sonia Gandhi called this bill the dream of her spouse Rajiv Gandhi, while BJP's Nishikant Dubey accused Congress of delaying the bill. During the discussion in the House, demand for separate quota for women from OBC and SC-ST sections in the Women's Reservation Bill was also raised. Rahul Gandhi called this bill incomplete and tried to corner the Modi government on the issue of OBC. In response, Home Minister Amit Shah fiercely attacked Congress and said that for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Women's Reservation Bill is not an issue of politics but of recognition.
