विपक्ष ने गुरुवार को संसद के निचले सदन में अपनी सरकार के खिलाफ पेश किए गए अविश्वास प्रस्ताव का जवाब देते हुए प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के भाषण की आलोचना की। जबकि सत्तारूढ़ भारतीय जनता पार्टी ने भाषण को "ज्ञानवर्धक" और "ऐतिहासिक" बताया, विपक्षी दलों ने मणिपुर पर नहीं बोलने के लिए उनकी आलोचना की।

The Opposition on Thursday slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his speech replying to the no-trust motion against his government introduced in the Lower House of the Parliament. While the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party hailed the speech as "enlightning" and "historic", Opposition parties berated him for not speaking on Manipur.
