Mixed Veg Pulao Rice / Biringi / Veg Biryani
Ingredients:
Basmati Rice - 1 cup
Ghee - 2 tb spn
Carrot (chopped) - 1
Beans (chopped) - 4
Onion (chopped) - 1
Potato (chopped) - 1
Soya Chunks - ¼ cup
Tomatoes (chopped) - 1
Green Chillies (slit) - 3
Turmeric - ½ tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Ginger Garlic - 1 tsp
Star Anise - 1
Bay Leaf - 2
Cinnamon Stick - 1 inch
Cardamom - 3
Cloves - 3
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
Mint Leaves - 3 Sprigs
Fried Bread
Salt - To Taste
Method:
Take a pan, Add Oil
Add 1 Star Anise & Bay Leaf
Add 3 Cloves
Add 3 Cardamom
Add ½ inch Cinnamon Stick
Add ½ tsp Fennel Seeds
Slowly Saute them on medium flame
Add 4 Cashew nuts
Add 1 tsp Ginger Garlic paste
Add 1 sliced Onion
Add Salt to taste
Add 3 Slit Green Chillies
Add 1 chopped Carrot
Add Chopped Beans
Add 1 Chopped Potato
Add 2 chopped Tomatoes
Add 1 Sprig Mint
Add Boiled Soya Chunks
Add a Pinch Turmeric
Add 1 tsp Chilli powder
Add 1 tsp Coriander powder
Add 1 tsp Garam Masala
Add Water Double the Quantity of Rice
For 1 Cup of Rice Add 2 Cups of Water
Bring it to boil & add few drops lemon
Add Soaked Basmati rice
Cook it closed for 10 Minutes on low heat
Allow to rest for 5 minutes
Serve Hot With Raita
