संसद की नई इमारत के उद्घाटन के मौक़े पर हिंदू रीति रिवाज से पूजा होने पर AIMIM अध्यक्ष असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने सवाल उठाए। उन्होंने आरोप लगाया कि पीएम मोदी सिर्फ़ एक ही धर्म को बढ़ा रहे हैं इसीलिए सिर्फ तमिलनाडु के पुजारियों को अपने साथ लोकसभा में लेकर गए। हालांकि उद्घाटन समारोह में सर्व धर्म प्रार्थना सभा भी हुई थी, जिसमें हिंदू, सिख, पारसी और जैन धर्म की प्रार्थनाओं के साथ-साथ कुरान की पवित्र आयत भी सुनाई गई थी।

AIMIM President Asaduddin Owaisi raised questions on the worship of Hindu customs on the occasion of the inauguration of the new Parliament building. He alleged that PM Modi is promoting only one religion, that's why he took only priests from Tamil Nadu with him to the Lok Sabha. However, the opening ceremony also had an all-religion prayer meeting, in which prayers from Hindu, Sikh, Zoroastrian and Jain religions, as well as holy verses from the Quran, were recited.
