Renowned Film Critic and Trade Analyst reviews ?Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho? and ?Uvaa? this week. ?Miss Tanakpur Haazir Ho,? a multi-starrer is a satire on Khap panchayat. The story of the film is penned by Vinod Kapri and Abhishek Sharma. The film's story is unusual and being a satire, it promises ample humor. The film has many light-hearted and humorous moments in its first half. While second half also has its moments but the story seems a tad dragged.
?Uvaa? is a social-drama revolving around five friends who set out to change the society. During one of their group studies session they see a girl of their age brutally raped and thrown in bushes. She happens to be their Principal?s daughter. Principal initially refrains from lodging an FIR but looking at his courageous students he decides to stand by his daughter. The story of the film while tackles a poignant issues, it fails to leave an impact. Towards the end of the film, the solution given for the rape case is quite far-fetched and juvenile. The screenplay is also long drawn, boring and doesn't entertain the viewers.
