देवबंद स्थित एक प्रमुख मुस्लिम निकाय ने शनिवार को भाजपा सरकार पर देश में बहुसंख्यक समुदाय के दिमाग में जहर घोलने में लगे लोगों की रक्षा करने का आरोप लगाया। जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद ने आरोप लगाया, कथित सांप्रदायिकता के प्रसार पर चिंता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि सरकार विभिन्न बैठकों में अल्पसंख्यक समुदाय के खिलाफ नफरत फैलाने वाले लोगों से आंखें मूंद रही है। इसने दावा किया कि 'झूठे राष्ट्रवाद' के नाम पर देश की एकता में बाधा आ रही है, जो न केवल मुसलमानों के लिए बल्कि पूरे देश के लिए खतरनाक है।

जमीयत उलमा-ए-हिंद के अध्यक्ष मौलाना महमूद मदनी ने सरकार पर सवाल उठाए हैं. मदनी ने कहा कि मुसलमानों के लिए यह मुश्किल हो गया है. उन्होंने कहा कि सरकार की चुप्पी खेदजनक है।

मुगलों के मुद्दे पर असदुद्दीन ओवैसी ने बहुत बड़ा बयान दिया है। भारत मुगलों के अलावा भी कई और लोग आए। चार अलग-अलग जगहों से भारत में लोग आए हैं। केवल मुगलों को टारगेट किया जा रहा है। भारत पर आदिवासियों का अधिकार है। इसके अलावा AIMIM के रैली के दौरान ओवैसी ने BJP पर कड़ा प्रहार किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि भारत ना हमारा है ना पीएम मोदी का बल्कि आदिवासियों का है और साथ ही उन्होंने मुगलों को बोलने की नसीहत भी दी।
