INS Vikrant पर अचानक वो हुआ जिसने मचाया पूरे देश में तहलका | Navy Sign| Saint George’s Cross| Indian Navy

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday unveiled the new ensign of the Indian Navy and commissioned INS Vikrant, the country's first indigenously built aircraft carrier, at the Cochin Shipyard. In a bid to do away with the “colonial past”, the Saint George’s Cross has been removed from the Indian Navy’s new flag.

भारतीय नौसेना को गुलामी के निशान से आखिरकार आजादी मिल गई है. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने नौसेना के ध्‍वज के नए निशान का अनावरण कर दिया है. नए निशान से सेंट जॉर्ज क्रॉस को हटा दिया गया है. अब ऊपर बाईं ओर तिरंगा बना है. बगल में नीले रंग के बैकग्राउंड पर गोल्डर कलर में अशोक चिह्न बना है. इसके नीचे संस्कृत भाषा में 'शं नो वरुणः' लिखा गया है.
