In a bid to ensure infrastructure development and livelihood opportunity in hamlets on the northern border, the Union Cabinet recently approved the Vibrant Villages Programme (a centrally sponsored scheme) for the Financial Years 2022-23 to 2025-26 with a financial allocation of Rs 4,800 crore.
