करीब 44 साल बाद भारत और चीन के व्यापार के लिए नाथू ला दर्रे को खोल दिया गया, यह वो ऐतिहासिक साल था जब चीन और भारत ने 1962 के बाद आपसी सहयोग और समन्वय के लिए आगे आए. बता दें कि नाथू ला दर्रा भारत के सिक्किम और तिब्बत प्रांत को जोड़ता है, उस समय के भारतीय क्षेत्र के कमांडर ब्रिगेडियर रहे एस एल नरसिम्हन का कहना था कि "इस दर्रे का खुलना दोनों देशों के बेहतर होते संबंधों का प्रतीक है''.

After about 44 years, the Nathu La Pass was opened for trade between India and China, this was the historic year when China and India came forward for mutual cooperation and coordination after 1962. Let us tell you that the Nathu La Pass connects Sikkim and Tibet province of India, Brigadier SL Narasimhan, the commander of the Indian territory at that time, said that "the opening of this pass is a symbol of the improving relations between the two countries".
