I Love NY, Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq | Movie Review | Komal Nahta

‘I love NY’ is a love story, which sees fate bring Randhir (Sunny Deol) to New York from Chicago following a night of drunken madness. Here he finds a girl, Tikku (Kangana Ranaut) who is about to get engaged, but a chaotic series of events brings both of them closer to each other than they had envisioned. The story and the writing fail to mesmerize, and even the highly-acclaimed Kangana Ranaut could do little to save this one from disaster. The story of the film is juvenile and the screenplay is also inane. The character of Tikku is weak as she cannot stand up to her boyfriend. The film is sans romance, emotions, drama and comedy. Sunny Deol looks very unkempt; Kangana Ranaut is sincere while Navin Choudhary has a unique sing-song way of delivering dialogue.
‘Thoda Lutf Thoda Ishq’ is the tale of two good-for-nothing boys named Ghungroo (Rajpal Yadav) and Jhumroo (Hiten Tejwani) who have little better to do than pursuing women. Things change when Jhumroo meets Chuski, which sparks off a messy and frenzied love story between the two. Sachin Gupta's film is let down by a weak plot and sub-standard performances, including one from the promising Hiten Tejwani.
Both films seem to be doomed to fail.
