In the case of the alleged rape and forced religious conversion of a female resident doctor at KGMU in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the parents of the absconding accused doctor, Ramiz Malik, have been arrested from Pilibhit. The arrested individuals are his father, Salimuddin, and mother, Khatija.
