The first look poster of Emraan Hashmi’s upcoming production debut ‘Captain Nawab’ featuring Hashmi wearing an army uniform with insignia of both the Indian and the Pakistani army on his uniform, had created a lot of curiosity about the film plot and the actor finally spilled the beans about the film in an interview today.

In an interview to a leading tabloid, Emraan revealed that the film is inspired by true events and that it is the store of a fresh Army recruit, who crosses over to Pakistan and gets stuck in the politics between the two countries. However, Hashmi hastened to add that ‘Captain Nawab’ is not a particular person’s life story and that the actual source of inspiration for this film was a non-fiction book.

Directed by Tony D'Souza, under the banner Emraan Hashmi Productions, in association with Tony D’Souza and Nitin Upadhaya’s Oddball Motion Pictures, Captain Nawab will release this year.
