The release date of Karan Johar's Ungli has finally been officially announced. The film is all set to release on the 23rd of May 2014
, ending speculations about the film being shelved.


Ungli marks Bollywood star Emran Hashmi's entry to the coveted Dharma camp. Dharma Productions is known for long standing relationships with all their actors, and KJo has many good things to say about this newest entrant.

'It is our first film with Emraan and he is one of the best actors that I have worked with. He is very professional, punctual and is an excellent team player. I am grateful to him for the time and affection he has given to UNGLI. One rarely comes across a movie star who is so simple, down to earth and easy in every which way. There was never a problem working with him and I would love to have him on board again,' says Karan.

Karan has also maintained that Ungli is a far cry from the quintessential Dharma genre of cinema. We are awaiting Ungli's first look!
