ओडिशा के बालासोर में शुक्रवार शाम करीब 7 बजे ट्रेन के पटरी से उतर जाने की भीषण दुर्घटना में 200 से अधिक लोगों की मौत हो गई और 900 से अधिक घायल हो गए। शालीमार-चेन्नई कोरोमंडल एक्सप्रेस के 10 से 12 डिब्बे पटरी से उतरने के कारण वे विपरीत पटरी पर गिर गए। इसके बाद, बेंगलुरु-हावड़ा सुपरफास्ट एक्सप्रेस पटरी से उतरे हुए डिब्बों से टकरा गई, जिससे उसके अपने ही तीन-चार डिब्बे पटरी से उतर गए। दुर्घटना में एक मालगाड़ी भी शामिल थी

More than 200 people were killed and over 900 have been injured in a horrific train derailment that occurred on Friday evening at around 7 pm in Odisha's Balasore. The derailment of 10 to 12 coaches of the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express caused them to fall onto the opposite track. Subsequently, the Bengaluru-Howrah Superfast Express collided with the derailed coaches, leading to the derailment of three to four of its own coaches. Adding to the tragedy, a goods train was also involved in the crash
