नोटबंदी पर चल रही क़ानूनी लड़ाई में नरेंद्र मोदी सरकार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट से जीत मिली है। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अपने फ़ैसले में नोटबंदी के मोदी सरकार के फ़ैसले को सही ठहराया और इसके ख़िलाफ़ दायर 58 याचिकाओं को ख़ारिज कर दिया। 5 जजों की संवैधानिक बेंच ने 4-1 के बहुमत से नोटबंदी को फैसले को सही ठहराते हुए इसके खिलाफ दायर याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया। हालांकि एक जज ने नोटबंदी के केंद्र सरकार के फ़ैसले को ग़लत ठहराया।

The Narendra Modi government has got a victory from the Supreme Court in the ongoing legal battle over demonetisation. The Supreme Court in its judgment upheld the Modi government's decision of demonetisation and dismissed 58 petitions filed against it. The 5-judge constitutional bench, by a majority of 4-1, upheld the demonetisation decision and dismissed the petitions filed against it. However, a judge wrongly upheld the central government's decision of demonetisation.
