Notebandi 2023 : सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने सोमवार को नोटबंदी (demonetisation) से जुड़ी 56 याचिकाओं पर बड़ा फैसला सुनाया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने (Supreme Court) कहा कि मोदी (PM Modi) सरकार की निर्णय़ प्रक्रिया में कोई खामी नहीं थी. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने 4-1 के बहुमत से नोटबंदी (Notes Ban) के खिलाफ याचिकाओं को खारिज कर दिया. सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने इस बात का संज्ञान लिया कि आरबीआई और सरकार के बीच करीब 6 महीने से इस पर बातचीत चल रही थी. इस फैसले में आरबीआई (RBI) एक्ट के सेक्शन 26(2) का पूरी तरह से पालन किया गया. ऐसा नहीं कि कुछ सीरीज के ही नोटों को वापस लिया जा सकता है. 500 औऱ 1000 रुपये के पुराने नोटों (legal currency) को भी वापस लिया जा सकता है. याचिकाकर्ताओं का कहना है कि आरबीआई को 7 नवंबर को एक नोटिस दिया जाता है औऱ इस पर आनन-फानन में मुहर लगा दी जाती है.

Notebandi 2023: The Supreme Court on Monday gave a major verdict on 56 petitions related to demonetisation. The Supreme Court said that there was no flaw in the decision making process of the Modi government. The Supreme Court with a majority of 4-1 dismissed the petitions against the note ban. The Supreme Court took cognizance of the fact that talks were going on between the RBI and the government for about 6 months. Section 26(2) of the RBI Act was fully followed in this decision. It is not that only notes of some series can be withdrawn.
