Kakolat Waterfalls are located 33 km from Nawada in Bihar. The water cascades down from a height of 150 to 160 ft. Near the falls, there is a natural reservoir. The waterfall is surrounded by green forests. The place was visited by the Pandavas during their exile. A big fair is held during Bishua or Chait Sankranti. It is believed that in Treta Yuga, a king was cursed by a rishi, and had to take the shape of a python and lived here.
