भारतीय नौसेना ने मालदीव से 130 किलोमीटर की दूरी पर अपना नेवल बेस बनाया है। लक्षद्वीप के मिनिकॉय आईलैंड पर आज INS जटायु को कमीशन किया गया. मिनिकॉय आईलैंड लक्षद्वीप के दक्षिणी छोर पर मौजूद है. इस आईलैंड में नेवल बेस बनने से मालदीव्स को कंट्रोल करना आसान होगा. अब लक्षद्वीप में INS द्वीपरक्षक के साथ INS जटायु भी नौसेना की ताकत बढ़ाएगा . नौसेना की इस तैयारी से हिंद महासागर में चीन की बढ़ती चुनौती से निपटने में भी मदद मिलेगी. चीन से बढ़ती करीबी के बीच मॉलदीव्स पर नज़र रखना भारत के लिए बेहद अहम है। क्योंकि वहां के राष्ट्रपति मोइज्जू खुलकर चीन से अपनी दोस्ती और भारत के प्रति अपनी नफ़रत का इजहार कर चुके हैं.

The Indian Navy has built its naval base at a distance of 130 kilometers from Maldives. INS Jatayu was commissioned today at Minicoy Island in Lakshadweep. Minicoy Island is situated at the southern end of Lakshadweep. By building a naval base in this island, it will be easier to control Maldives. Now, along with INS Dweeprakshak in Lakshadweep, INS Jatayu will also increase the strength of the Navy. This preparation of the Navy will also help in dealing with the growing challenge of China in the Indian Ocean. It is very important for India to keep an eye on Maldives amid its increasing proximity to China. Because the President Moizzu has openly expressed his friendship with China and his hatred towards India.
