India is looking to promote the Lakshadweep islands for tourism, India is now planning to develop a new airfield at the Minicoy Islands there that would be capable of operating military aircraft, including fighter jets, along with commercial ones.

मालदीव बनाम लक्षद्वीप पर छिड़ी बहस के बीच भारत ने लक्षद्वीप के लिए गेमचेंजर प्लान बनाया है. लक्षद्वीप के सबसे दक्षिणी द्वीप मिनिकॉय में भारत जिस मिलिट्री बेस को बनाने की तैयारी कर रहा है, वह गेमचेंजर साबित होगा. मिनिकॉय पर प्रस्तावित इंडियन एयरफोर्स के फाइटर एयरबेस का जनरल बिपिन रावत से खास कनेक्शन है.
