The spot on the Moon where Chandrayaan-3's lander Vikram touched down will be known as 'Shiv Shakti Point', Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced today while addressing the scientists of ISRO in Bengaluru.
PM Modi's big announcement came at the ISRO Telemetry Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bengaluru where he arrived today to greet the scientists behind the historic Chandrayaan-3 mission.


चंद्रयान-3 का लैंडर जहां उतरा वह जगह बनी शिवशक्ति, जानें पीएम मोदी ने क्यों रखा नाम. पीएम मोदी ने चंद्रयान-3 के लैंडर विक्रम के सॉफ्ट लैंडिंग वाली जगह को नाम दिया है। पीएम मोदी बेंगलुरू में इसरो वैज्ञानिकों से मिलने पहुंचे थे। यहां वैज्ञानिकों को संबोधित करते हुए पीएम मोदी ने कहा, मेरे परिवारजनों, आप जानते हैं कि स्पेस मिशन के टचडाउन पॉइंट को एक नाम दिए जाने की वैज्ञानिक परंपरा है। चंद्रमा के जिस हिस्से पर हमारा चंद्रयान उतरा है भारत ने उस स्थान के भी नामकरण का फैसला लिया है। प्रधानमंत्री ने कहा कि जिस स्थान पर चंद्रयान 3 का मून लैंडर उतरा है, अब उस पॉइंट को- शिव शक्ति के नाम से जाना जाएगा।
