चंद्रयान-2 के पदचिन्ह जहां पड़े थे उसके नामकरण का प्रस्ताव था. लेकिन हमने प्रण लिया था कि चंद्रयान-3 जब चंद्रमा पर पहुंचेगा तो हम दोनों पॉइंट का नाम एक साथ रखेंगे. चंद्रमा पर चंद्रयान-2 ने जिस स्थान पर पदचिन्ह छोड़े थे वो पॉइंट अब तिरंगा के नाम से जाना जाएगा.
पीएम मोदी ने कहा कि जिस पॉइंट पर मून लैंडर उतरा उसे शिवशक्ति के नाम से जाना जाएगा. शिव में मानवता का संकल्प समाहित है. शक्ति से हमें उन संकल्पों को पूरा करने का सामर्थ्य मिलता है.
There was a proposal to name the place where Chandrayaan-2's footprints were lying. But we had taken a vow that when Chandrayaan-3 reaches the Moon, we would name both the points together. The point where Chandrayaan-2 left footprints on the Moon will now be known as Tiranga.
PM Modi said that the point at which the Moon lander landed will be known as Shivshakti. The resolution of humanity is contained in Shiva. With power we get the ability to fulfill those resolutions.
