Will Rajinikanth's Kochadaiiyaan overpower Hawa Hawaai and Mastram at the box office? Trade buzz
by
This weekend Kochadaiiyaan starring Rajinikanth and Deepika Padukone in the lead will hit the theatres alongside Amole Gupte's Hawa Hawaai, producer Sunil Bohra's controversial erotic thriller Mastram and Vinod Khanna-Suniel Shetty starrerKoyelaanchal.
Besides these four films, director Sandeep Varma's biopic on Manjunath Shanmugam, Janaki Vishwanathan's social satire Yeh Hai Bakrapur and Zaid Ali Khan's directorial venture Khwaabb will also release
Exhibitor-distributor Akshaye Rathi says "While superstar Rajnikanth's Kochadaiiyan will have a clean sweep down South, business at the box office will be divided among a couple of films in Northern India. Hawa Hawaai will do well in the multiplexes and bigger cities. In the absolute mass belts, it's a contest between Sunil Bohra's film Mastram (depending on the sex-factor) and Aashu Trikha's Koyelaanchal, which is a hardcore action film set in the backdrop of the coal mafia."
