आज की बहस का मुद्दा है UCC..। ..क्या UCC आ जाएगा तो देश में तूफ़ान आ जाएगा?..सियासत में किसी फ़ैसले से पहले उसका माहौल बनाने की अलग इम्पॉर्टेंस होती है। ..दो दिन में पहले गृह मंत्री और क़ानून मंत्री...फिर प्रधानमंत्री की बैठक में UCC पर चर्चा होने की ख़बर है। मैसेज ये है कि सरकार सीरियस है...और स्पीड में है।
इसीलिये UCC का विरोध भी रफ्तार पकड़ रहा है।

नेशनल कांफ्रेंस के अध्यक्ष फ़ारूक अब्दुल्ला ने कहा है कि UCC आया तो देश में तूफ़ान ना आ जाए। फ़ारूक ने कहा कि शरीयत के होते हुए मुसलमान UCC मंजू़र नहीं करेंगे। UCC के नाम से डराने में महबूबा मुफ्ती भी पीछे नहीं रहीं। उन्होंने कहा कि देश बड़े मुश्किल के दौर में है, अब अल्लाह ही निजात दिलाए। एक और मुस्लिम नेता है समाजवादी पार्टी के शफ़ीकुर्रहमान बर्क। उन्होंने कहा कि देश के मुसलमान मोदी के नहीं...मुफ्तियों और उलेमाओं के हिसाब से चलेंगे। ..वहीं अरशद मदनी बड़ी बेचारगी के साथ बोले कि- बेचारे मुसलमान कर ही क्या सकते हैं।
वहीं विपक्ष के गैर मुस्लिम नेता भी बोले। तमिलनाडु के सीएम स्टालिन और उद्धव ठाकरे की शिवसेना ने कहा कि - UCC सिर्फ़ ध्यान भटकाने, वोटों को बांटने और हिन्दू-मुसलमान करके 24 का चुनाव जीतने के लिये है।

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah has said that if the UCC comes, there should be no storm in the country. Farooq said that Muslims will not accept UCC despite Shariat. Mehbooba Mufti also did not lag behind in intimidation in the name of UCC. He said that the country is in a very difficult time, now only Allah can get rid of it. Another Muslim leader is Shafiqur Rahman Barq of the Samajwadi Party. He said that the Muslims of the country will follow the Muftis and Ulemas, not Modi. On the other hand, Arshad Madani said with great helplessness that what can the poor Muslims do.
At the same time, non-Muslim leaders of the opposition also spoke. Tamil Nadu CM Stalin and Uddhav Thackeray's Shiv Sena said that - UCC is just to divert attention, divide votes and win 24 elections by doing Hindu-Muslim.
