30 अप्रैल को रामनवमी के दिन बंगाल और बिहार में हिंसा हुई थी। महाराष्ट्र, गुजरात और कर्नाटक में भी कुछ जगह ऐसा ही टकराव हुआ था। इस पूरी हिंसा में कई जगह आगजनी हुई, पत्थर चले, दो लोगों की मौत भी हुई थी। सवाल उठाए गये कि क्या हिन्दुओं को अब अपने ही देश में रामनवमी की यात्रा निकालने के लिये इजाज़त लेनी होगी?

लेकिन अब जो ताज़ा हिंसा हुई है वो रामनवमी के उस तनाव के हफ्ते भर बाद की हैं।
झारखंड के जमशेदपुर में एक धार्मिक झंडे के अपमान से जो तनाव पैदा हुआ, उसे पुलिस ने शांति समिति की बैठक करके शांत करा दिया। लेकिन उसके बाद भी दोनों समुदाय भिड़ गये। पथराव किया और दुकानें-गाड़ियां जला दीं।

वहीं हरियाणा में सोनीपत के एक गांव में एक समुदाय की हथियारबंद भीड़ दूसरे समुदाय के धार्मिक स्थल में घुस गई। वहां जितने लोग थे, उन्हें मारा-पीटा। अब पूरे गांव में पुलिस तैनात है। 6 लोग गिरफ्तार हो चुके हैं। कई हिरासत में हैं।

On the other hand, in a village of Sonepat in Haryana, an armed mob of one community entered the religious place of another community. All the people who were there were beaten up. Now police is deployed in the entire village. 6 people have been arrested. Many are in custody.
