सीनियर नेता सैम पित्रोदा ने कांग्रेस को फिर परेशानी में डाल दिया है. पिछले महीने उन्होंने विरासत टैक्स पर बयान देकर फजीहत कराई थी. सत्ताधारी बीजेपी ने पित्रोदा के बयान को हाथों हाथ लपक लिया था. अब पित्रोदा की जुबान से कुछ ऐसा निकल गया है कि विवाद तय है. द स्टेट्समैन को दिए इंटरव्यू में सैम पित्रोदा ने भारत पर कहा, 'यह बड़ा विविधतापूर्ण देश है.. जहां पूर्व में लोग चीनी जैसे दिखते हैं, पश्चिम में लोग अरब जैसे दिखते हैं, उत्तर में लोग शायद श्वेत जैसे दिखते हैं और दक्षिण में लोग अफ्रीका जैसे दिखते हैं.' जैसी उम्मीद थी, पित्रोदा के बयान पर राजनीतिक संग्राम छिड़ गया है. कुछ मुख्यमंत्रियों समेत बीजेपी के सीनियर नेताओं ने पित्रोदा को लताड़ा है. तो वहींं पित्रोदा के बयान पर कांग्रेस बैकपुट पर आई गई है.


Senior leader Sam Pitroda has again put Congress in trouble. Last month, he caused embarrassment by giving a statement on inheritance tax. The ruling BJP immediately seized Pitroda's statement. Now something has come out of Pitroda's mouth that controversy is certain. In an interview to The Statesman, Sam Pitroda said on India, 'It is a very diverse country... where in the east people look like Chinese, in the west people look like Arabs, in the north people probably look white and in the south people looks like african.
