Supreme Court ने राजधानी (Delhi) में पटाखों पर प्रतिबंध को व्यापक रूप से लागू करने में विफल रहने और केवल कच्चा माल जब्त करने के लिए Delhi Police को कड़ी फटकार लगाई। इतना ही नहीं शीर्ष अदालत ने Delhi Police की कार्यवाही को महज एक दिखावा बताया। दिल्ली सरकार (Delhi Government) ने प्रदूषण पर नियंत्रण के लिए 14 October से 1 Janauary तक पटाखों पर प्रतिबंध लगाया है। हालांकि बावजूद इसके दिवाली के अवसर पर राजधानी में जमकर आतिशबाजी हुई।
