Spicy Mushroom Chicken Curry Recipe (Easy weekday dinner ideas)

1 tsp Jeera/Cumin seeds
2 tbsp oil
300 gms of chicken breast
1 small piece of onion chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste ( or small quantity of chopped ginger-garlic)
1 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt ( Adjust per taste)
1 tsp paprika
(or 1/2 tsp red chilli pwd)
1-2 small tomatoes. I blended them to make a tomato puree
2 tbsp water
1 cup mushrooms
2 tbsp Montego bay sauce(Fiery Jerk Sauce)
Cut chicken in small bite size pieces and marinade for 30 mins.
Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds.
Add onions and ginger-garlic paste. Mix well and then saute for 2-3 mins. Add spices. once onions are no longer raw (2-3 mins), add mushrooms. Mix well.cook further for 2-3 mins.
Next, add marinated chicken and fry for 3-4 mins . Add tomato puree.
Cover and cook for 4-5 mins.
Add garam masala and garnish with cilantro leaves and
Serve hot with roti, rice, paratha, naan or pita bread.
