There's a strong buzz that actress Sonakshi Sinha has been offered the role of Rani Ratnavati of Bhangarh in a film that will explore the life and myth surrounding the Queen. Earlier the role was reportedly offered to Kareena Kapoor Khan, but she turned down the role.
Reportedly, the film will be about the stories surrounding the popular haunted place in Rajasthan and about Ratnavati, who was known for her astounding beauty and had many suitors. There is also a buzz that actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has been approached to play a pivotal role in the film.
According to reports, the makers are looking to rope in an established director to helm the project. Reportedly, the film’s producers had earlier approached director duo Abbas-Mastan to direct the film, but they were busy with their upcoming film Machine.
Sonakshi, who is currently working on her upcoming film Noor, will be next seen in AR Murugadoss' Akira, which releases on September 2.
