उमेश पाल हत्‍याकांड की जांच में जुटी एसटीएफ को ऐसे कई वीडियो मिले थे जिनमें शाइस्‍ता परवीन अतीक गैंग के शूटरों के साथ सार्वजनिक रूप से नजर आ रही थीं
जांच में यह खुलासा हुआ है कि उमेश पाल की हत्‍या से पहले शूटरों की मीटिंग में शाइस्‍ता परवीन भी मौजूद थीं साबरमती जेल में बैठकर अतीक अहमद शूटरों को निर्देश दे रहा था
इसी तरह अशरफ बरेली जेल से बैठक में शामिल था यह बात भी सामने आई है कि शाइस्‍ता से शूटरों से कहा था कि उमेश पाल को मारकर अतीक गैंग की खोई हुई इज्‍जत वापस लानी है

It has been revealed in the investigation that before the murder of Umesh Pal, Shaista Parveen was also present in the meeting of the shooters. Atiq Ahmed was giving instructions to the shooters while sitting in Sabarmati Jail.
Similarly, Ashraf was involved in the meeting from Bareilly jail. It has also come to light that Shaista told the shooters to kill Umesh Pal and bring back the lost honor of the Atiq gang.
