माफिया...गैंगस्टर...अपहरणकर्ता...डॉन जैसी उपाधियों से सुसज्जित व्यक्ति और पूर्व सपा सांसद अतीक अहमद का बेटा असद, पुलिस के एक एनकाउंटर में मारा गया। इस घटना के बाद से ही देश में एक धड़ा, एनकाउंटर के विरोध में उठ खड़ा हुआ है। ये लोग एनकाउंटर को फर्जी बताने पर अड़े हैं। इस धड़े में कई तरह के लोग शामिल हैं। अतीक के समर्थक और गुर्गों को छोड़ दें, तो इसमें वो नेता भी शामिल हैं जो कभी ना कभी माफिया अतीक के राजनीतिक दोस्त रहे हैं। यूपी के माफिया राज वाला दौर देख चुके लोग, अतीक की बुरी हालत पर खुश हैं। ये लोग अतीक के गुंडों के मारे जाने पर जश्न मना रहे हैं। लेकिन कुछ लोग ऐसे भी हैं जिनके अंदर उमेश की हत्या में शामिल असद और अतीक जैसे माफिया को लेकर मानवतावाद का ज्वार उठ गया है।
