CBI की कस्टडी में आए शाहजहां शेख पर सियासत थमने का नाम नहीं ले रही। बीजेपी ने आरोप लगाया कि ममता सरकार के ख़िलाफ़ शाहजहां कई राज़ उगल सकता है। इसलिए उसे बचाने की हर संभव कोशिश की जा रही है। बीजेपी नेता अग्निमित्रा पॉल ने आरोप लगाया कि शाहजहां शेख के ज़रिए ममता ने कई गैरकानूनी काम कराए, जिसमें वोट के लिए लोगों को धमकाना, हिंसा कराना, रोहिंग्या को बसाना, गैरकानूनी धंधों से पैसा कमाना शामिल है.
