यूक्रेन पर हमला करते ही रूस पर अमेरिका और यूरोपीय देशों ने कई तरह के प्रतिबंध लगा दिए थे. रूस के तेल की खरीद पर भी पाबंदी लगा दी थी. पर अब ऐसा लग रहा है जैसे रूस पर इन प्रतिबंधो का कुछ खास असर नहीं पड़ रहा है. हाल ही में रूस ने सऊदी अरब को पछाड़ते हुए चीन को रिकॉर्ड स्तर पर तेल बेचा. साथ ही विश्व भर में सबसे ज्यादा तेल बेचने वाले देशों की सूची में पहले पायदान पर आ गया है.
