Revolver Rani box office collection: Kangana Ranaut's movie mints Rs 3.25 crore in two days
by
Last Friday, Revolver Rani hit the theatres alongside Kaanchi and Samrat & Co. While Kangy's much-awaited film did a decent business at the box office, the other two flicks failed to create any impact
Kangana Ranaut delivered an impeccable performance in Vikas Bahl's Queen which not only impressed the audience and critics alike but also got thumbs up from Bollywood bigwigs. That's one reason why we were looking forward to her film Revolver Rani. Co-starring Vir Das, Ms Ranaut's new film released last week but sadly it failed to create the same magic as Queen did. Besides RR, Subhash Ghai's Kaanchi starring newbie Mishti Mukherjee also hit the screens. However, the talented director's comeback film didn't manage to pull the crowds to the cinema halls. Rajeev Khandelwal's detective film Samrat & Co also released on Friday and though it looked promising, director Kaushik Ghatak's mystery drama too turned out to be a disappointment. Kangana's Revolver Rani may not have got cash registers jingling but it did better than the other films at the box office.
According to boxofficeindia, "Revolver Rani and Kaanchi made no impact at the box office with latter collecting a little under Rs 2.5 crore nett and the former grossing a little over Rs 6 crore nett.. Revolver Rani's main selling point was supposed to be Kangana Ranaut whose last film Queen was appreciated immensely in urban centres but that film did not do well over its first weekend and Revolever Rani was 40 percent less than Queen."
Guess this time Kangy didn't hit the bullseye, hai na? As for Kaanchi and Samrat & Co, going by their first weekend collections wethinks these two films could very well be out of theaters by this week itself
