Congress President Election 2022: राजस्थान के मुख्यमंत्री अशोक गहलोत सोनिया गांधी से मुलाकात करने उनके 10 जनपथ स्थित आवास पहुंच गए हैं. सूत्रों ने जानाकीर दी है कि गहलोत ने अध्यक्ष बनने से पहले मुख्यमंत्री पद छोड़ने से मना कर दिया है. सूत्रों का कहना है कि मुकुल वासनिक आलाकमान का मैसेज लेकर गहलोत के पास आए थे कि उन्हें नॉमिनेशन से पहले मुख्यमंत्री पद से इस्तीफ़ा देने का ऐलान करना होग. लेकिन गहलोत ने ये शर्त मानने से इनकार दिया, जिसके बाद ये अटकलें जलाई जाने लगी कि सोनिया - गहलोत की मीटिंग टल सकती है, हालांकि ऐसा नहीं हुआ.

Sources say that Mukul Wasnik had come to Gehlot with a message from the high command that he would have to announce his resignation from the post of Chief Minister before the nomination. But Gehlot refused to accept this condition, after which speculation started burning that the meeting of Sonia-Gehlot could be postponed, although it did not happen.
