सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने शुक्रवार को गुजरात उच्च न्यायालय के उस आदेश के खिलाफ कांग्रेस नेता राहुल गांधी द्वारा दायर अपील पर नोटिस जारी किया, जिसमें आपराधिक मानहानि मामले में उनकी दोषसिद्धि और दो साल की जेल की सजा पर रोक लगाने से इनकार कर दिया गया था, और दोषी फैसले पर रोक लगाने के लिए उनकी याचिका पर सुनवाई के लिए 4 अगस्त की तारीख तय की।

The Supreme Court on Friday issued notice on an appeal filed by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi against a Gujarat high court order that refused to put on hold his conviction and a two-year jail term in a criminal defamation case, fixing August 4 to hear his plea for staying the guilty verdict.
