Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speech: 90th Anniversary of the Sivagiri Pilgrimage — PM Modi Modi lauded the contributions of Sree Narayana Guru, a saint-cum-social reformer from Kerala, in the fight against caste discrimination.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of year-long joint celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the Sivagiri pilgrimage and the Golden Jubilee of Brahma Vidyalaya, the PM said the social reformer refined the religion and changed it according to the times.
The event, organised by the Sree Narayana Dharma Sanghom Trust in Delhi, was held at the official residence of the Prime Minister of India. 
The Sivagiri pilgrimage and Brahma Vidhyalaya began under the guidance of great social reformer Narayana Guru.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Speech: 90th Anniversary of the Sivagiri Pilgrimage — प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए शिवगिरि तीर्थ यात्रा की 90वीं वर्षगांठ और ब्रह्म विद्यालय की स्वर्ण जयंती के साल भर चलने वाले साझा समारोह के उद्घाटन कार्यक्रम में हिस्सा लिया और उन्होंने साल भर चलने वाले संयुक्त समारोहों का लोगो भी लॉन्च किया. इस मौके पर उन्होंने लोगों को संबोधित करते हुए कहा कि तीर्थदानम् की 90 सालों की यात्रा और ब्रह्म विद्यालयम् की गोल्डेन जुबली ये केवल एक संस्था की यात्रा नहीं है. ये भारत के उस विचार की भी अमर यात्रा है, जो अलग-अलग कालखंड में अलग-अलग माध्यमों के जरिए आगे बढ़ता रहता है. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दुनिया के विभिन्न देशों में उपजे हालात की ओर इशारा करते हुए कहा कि आज विश्व के सामने अनेक साझे संकट और चुनौतियां हैं और मानवता के समक्ष खड़े प्रश्नों का समाधान भारत के अनुभवों और उसके सांस्कृतिक सामर्थ्य से ही निकल सकता है.
