जांचकर्ता शनिवार को ओडिशा के बालासोर जिले में तीन ट्रेनों के दुर्घटनाग्रस्त होने के पीछे किसी भी मानवीय त्रुटि, सिग्नल विफलता और अन्य संभावित कारणों की जांच कर रहे थे क्योंकि अधिकारियों ने लगभग तीन दशकों में भारत में सबसे खराब रेल दुर्घटना की प्रारंभिक जांच रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत की थी जिसमें कम से कम 288 लोग मारे गए थे। मृत और 1,100 से अधिक घायल। प्रधान मंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने दुर्घटना स्थल का दौरा किया और रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव के साथ-साथ आपदा प्रबंधन टीमों के अधिकारियों ने उन्हें जानकारी दी। उन्होंने अस्पताल में कुछ घायलों से भी मुलाकात की।

Investigators were on Saturday looking into any human error, signal failure and other possible causes behind the three-train crash in Odisha's Balasore district as officials submitted a preliminary inquiry report into the worst rail accident in India in nearly three decades that left at least 288 people dead and over 1,100 injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the accident site and was briefed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw as well as officers of the disaster management teams. He also met some of the injured in the hospital.
