PM Narendra Modi released the cheetahs flown in from Namibia into special enclosure in Kuno National Park of Madhya Pradesh. In order to protect the animal from residents living nearby, the government has started a ‘Cheetah Mitra’ (Cheetah friend) initiative in which people roped in will raise awareness about the animal to the residents. The biggest name that has been roped in as a ‘Cheetah Mitra’ is a former dacoit, Ramesh Sikarwar.
